Her Excellency Ms. Maria Del Rosario Mina Rojas, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Colombia, presented her credentials to His Excellency Mr Dharambeer Gokhool G.C.S.K., President of the Republic of Mauritius, today 22 April 2025 at the State House.
She was accompanied by Mr Julian Valencia Gaitan, Third Secretary at the Embassy of Colombia.
During her exchange with President Gokhool, collaborative opportunities in key sectors such as agriculture, tourism and culture, particularly the promotion of Spanish language, were discussed.
Views were also exchanged about the environmental risks associated with climate change for both countries, taking into account Columbia’s experience, potential and commitment towards sustainable and transformative climate action.
Strategies to further consolidate social harmony and strengthen unity in diversity in a spirit of mutual learning, cooperation and respect, were also talked about.
