    for an in-depth exchange on the national response to the drug crisis in Mauritius, at the State House.<\/div><\/div>

    Conversations centered on:<\/div><\/div>
    • The current landscape of drug-related challenges in Mauritius and the various preventive and curative measures being implemented at both governmental and community levels;<\/li><\/ul><\/div>
      • Ongoing prison rehabilitation programs, aimed at reintegrating incarcerated individuals into society with dignity, skills, and a renewed sense of purpose;<\/li><\/ul><\/div>
        • A review of the network of rehabilitation centres operating across the country, and the need to enhance their capacity, accessibility, and effectiveness;<\/li><\/ul><\/div>
          • Strategies to empower families affected by drug dependency\u2014equipping them with the knowledge, support systems, and resilience to care for their loved ones and contribute to the recovery process.<\/li><\/ul><\/div>

            President Gokhool also expressed his appreciation for the tireless work of Lakaz A and similar civil society organizations which are on the frontline of this crucial fight.<\/div><\/div>
