Celebrating Young Voices at State House : Award Ceremony of our National Essay Competition. Absolute joy at the State House as we held the Award Ceremony of the National Essay Competition\u2014 an initiative we had launched in the context of our nation\u2019s Independence celebrations.<\/div><\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
This competition invited young minds across our Republic to reflect on what independence truly means \u2014 not just as a historical milestone, but as a living, evolving responsibility we carry to the future. It also aimed to rekindle the love for reading, reflection and writing among our youth in the digital age. I am happy to share that we have received over a thousand entries from younger participants across our Republic and 20 entries from tertiary ones.<\/div><\/div>

Congratulations to all the participants and especially our talented winners, their parents, educators, and schools. Your voices and perspectives matter as future leaders who have the power to shape our nation’s destiny.<\/div><\/div>

Special congratulations to the two winners of our Special Jury award; our two talented students from School for the Blind \u2013 Lois Lagesse Trust Fund.<\/div><\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our jury members, all officials of the Ministry of Tertiary Education, Science and Research as well as Ministry of Education and Human Resource, and our team at the State House for the successful implementation of the initiative.<\/div><\/div>

This National Essay Competition is part of our broader effort to redefine the Presidency as a catalyst for nation building.<\/div><\/div>
As an integral part of Nation Building, we will include this in the Annual Calendar of Events of State House, with new themes and a wider participation.<\/div><\/div>
