The Foreign Secretary of the Republic of India, Shri Vikram Misri, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Mr Dharambeer Gokhool G.C.S.K, President of the Republic, at State House.<\/div><\/div>
He was accompanied by the High Commissioner of India to Mauritius, His Excellency Mr Anurag Srivastava, and the Deputy High Commissioner of India, His Excellency Shri Vimarsh Aryan, among others.<\/div><\/div>
During the meeting, President Gokhool and the Foreign Secretary of India, Shri Vikram Misri, discussed the completion of various India-assisted development projects across key sectors of national importance, notably the New Civil Service College located in R\u00e9duit, C\u00f4te D\u2019Or Technopole, a modern facility that will elevate training and capacity building for civil servants.<\/div><\/div>
The dignitaries also took stock of ongoing and upcoming projects supported by the Government of India, and exchanged views as regards their implementation timelines and impact.<\/div><\/div>
These include the roll-out of specialised capacity-building programmes for the public sector, aimed at enhancing governance and institutional efficiency, and the integration of CyberKnife technology for advanced cancer treatment in Mauritius, a major step forward for improving our healthcare system.<\/div><\/div>
The setting up of an AYUSH Centre of Excellence, which will promote traditional Indian systems of medicine in Mauritius, and the development of the second phase of the Ayurvedic Garden at State House were equally talked about.<\/div><\/div>
Conversations also centered on the digitization of the National Archives of Mauritius.<\/div><\/div>
This marks the second courtesy visit by Foreign Secretary Shri Vikram Misri to President Gokhool, following a first courtesy call on 20th December, 2024.<\/div><\/div>
