President Gokhool welcomed Dr. Ishan Shivanand, renowned Mental Health Professor, Health and Wellness Consultant, and Founder of the Universal Integrative Health Foundation (UIHF) and Yoga of Immortals, for a productive exchange at the State House yesterday.<\/div><\/div>
He was accompanied by Mrs. Dayna Joonas, Council Member of the UIHF, among others.<\/div><\/div>
During the meeting, President Gokhool and Dr. Shivanand exchanged perspectives on the importance of raising awareness about mental health and building resilience among the population, particularly post Covid-19 and as society navigates the transformative impact of AI.<\/div><\/div>
The President also took note of activities carried out at and the contributions of Dr. Shivanand through the School of Integrative Health and Wellness in Mauritius, both in the public and private sectors and which focus on holistic approaches to mental, emotional, and physical well-being.<\/div><\/div>
