Moments of insighful reflection on legacy, learning, and leadership as we paid tribute to Dr. Paul Octave Wiehe: scientist, pioneer in conservation, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Mauritius, and a nation-builder whose vision continues to shape our Republic.<\/div><\/div>
A gathering organised by the University of Mauritius which stirred memories of my own journey at the University – beginning in 1975, just two years after Dr. Wiehe\u2019s tenure as Vice-Chancellor- and which offered a reminder of what it means to lead through knowledge and service.<\/div><\/div>
I congratulate His Eminence Mgr Denis Wiehe and all family members of Dr. Octave Wiehe for ensuring that his story lives on.<\/div><\/div>
We must continue to draw inspiration from his example as we build a resilient, educated, and compassionate Mauritius.<\/div><\/div>
