President Dharambeer Gokhool made a memorable visit to the Dukesbridge primary and secondary school at Trianon on 02 May 2025.
The visit was marked by a short interview by the Student Council on the importance of ensuring equity in education, and the students, educators, as well as talented song and dance performances.
In his address, the President of the Republic thanked students, educators and the management for their warm welcome and continued dedication towards ensuring holistic teaching and learning.
He expressed gratitude in particular to Mr Rishi Nursimulu, director and founder, who led the school choir during the song “Ansam” – a powerful message and an ode to resilience and unity in the face of challenges such as bullying and violence in schools- which he himself wrote.
President Dharambeer Gokhool also engaged in constructive dialogue with the Senior Leaders at Dukesbridge on the education sector in Mauritius.
