An honour to pay my tribute as we mark the Remembrance Day ceremony at the War Memorial in Curepipe, in honour of the brave men and women who served and sacrificed their lives during the First and Second World Wars.
Moments marked by the traditional parade, the playing of the lament, and two minutes of silence, which remind us of the importance of unity, peace, and remembrance.
I also attended the special Mass for Remembrance Day at St James Cathedral – a solemn moment of spirituality and reflection for all those who gathered in a spirit of unity, prayer and gratitude.
As we commemorate the 107th anniversary of the Armistice that ended World War I, we must continue to honour the memory of those who fell and reaffirm our commitment to preserving peace and mutual respect among all nations.
