Mr. Ravindra Dattatray Chavan, President of the BJP Maharashtra unit, Member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly for Dombivli and former Maharashtra Cabinet Minister, paid a courtesy call on President Gokhool over the weekend.
He was accompanied, among others, by a delegation comprising Mr. Balraj Narroo MSK, President of the Mauritius Marathi Mandali Federation, and Mr. Vijay Moocoond, Secretary.
The visit was held in the context of the Gudi Padwa celebrations, marking the Marathi and Konkani New Year and the onset of spring. It symbolises the harvest season, the triumph of good over evil, and the beginning of a new cycle.
On the sidelines of the visit, exchanges were held on exploring avenues for potential collaboration and investment with the Maharashtra Government in areas of mutual interest, including cultural tourism and pilgrimages, pharmaceuticals, and the blue economy.
