Demonstration by the International Federation of Karate Kyokushin (IFK) Mauritius

Representing one of the leading global Kyokushin organisations headquartered in the United Kingdom, IFK Mauritius showcased the depth of this full-contact martial art – from precise kata and kihon to dynamic tameshwari and kumite.

What stood out most was the diversity of practitioners, with participants ranging from children as young as 3 years old to individuals in their 70s.

A compelling reflection of karate as a lifelong discipline that promotes physical fitness, mental wellbeing, and personal growth.

Our appreciation to Sensei Rayhaan Hossen, President of IFK Mauritius, an international competitor and a 3rd Degree Black Belt, for his dedication and representation of Mauritius on the global stage.

We also thank Shihan Nazir Hossen, Country Representative, whose commitment to Kyokushin Karate spans over five decades and continues to shape and mentor generations across the island.
