Our ‘Young Visitors At StateHouse’ initiative was once again brought to life this morning with a vibrant and engaging educational visit at the State House.
We had the distinct pleasure of welcoming a group of over one hundred students from Grades 5 and 6 of Northlands Primary & Pre-Primary School, accompanied by their dedicated educators and led by the School Manager, Mr Garish Ramoo. Their presence filled the grounds with enthusiasm, curiosity, and a genuine eagerness to learn.
This visit holds particular significance, as it marks exactly one year since the first group of students from the same institution visited the State House. The return of another cohort reflects the continuity of this enriching engagement and reinforces the importance of fostering lasting educational partnerships that connect young learners with national institutions.
Throughout the visit, the students demonstrated remarkable interest and openness in their interactions. His Excellency Dharambeer Gokhool warmly addressed the group, offering insights into his role and responsibilities as Head of State. In his remarks, he encouraged the students to remain committed to their education, to nurture their aspirations, and to believe in their potential to contribute meaningfully to the future of the nation.
Moments such as these underscore the profound value of maintaining a close and genuine connection with the people, particularly the younger generation. Their curiosity, sincerity, and dreams serve as a constant source of inspiration, reminding us of the importance of investing in their growth and empowering them to become the leaders of tomorrow.
