What a privilege to host the celebration of Africa Day 2026 at the State House last evening in the presence of His Excellency J.Y. Robert Hungley, GOSK, Vice-President of the Republic of Mauritius; Honourable Junior Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade, Mr Rajen Narsinghen; members of the Diplomatic Corps, and distinguished guests.
Mauritius reaffirms it’s commitment to the values of solidarity, peace, cooperation, and shared progress that continue to unite the African family.
Our sincere appreciation to Her Excellency Dr Hlamalani Nelly Manzini, High Commissioner of the Republic of South Africa and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, for herthoughtful remarks and for hontinued efforts in strengthening friendship and cooperation among nations.
Africa’s story is still being written, and its finest chapters are ahead of us.
