President Gokhool welcomed Mr. Leander Paes, renowned Indian tennis legend and the first Asian man to be inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame, for a courtesy visit at the State House today.

Discussions also focused on the need to further develop the sports sector in Mauritius and explore avenues for multistakeholder collaboration.
The President of the Republic warmly welcomed Mr. Paes’ willingness to contribute to strengthening and promoting the culture of sportsmanship in our country.
