Fruitful Exchange on Spirituality, Values and Social Responsibility with Members of ISKCON
President Gokhool held a fruitful exchange of perspectives with Bhakti Vasudeva Swami during a courtesy visit at State House today.
The Swami, Nigerian by birth, is now an initiating guru within the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) and member of the Spiritual Advisors Bhagavata Assembly (SABHA).
He was accompanied by Raghunath Das, Zonal Supervisor, as well as Sundarachar Das and Sakhi Vrinda Devi Dasi, ISKCON Mauritius Devotee Care Ministers.
The exchanges offered valuable perspectives on spirituality as a unifying force in society and its role in strengthening family bonds and shared values.
Discussions also highlighted the importance of spirituality and collective responsibility in addressing societal challenges, including the scourge of drugs.
The dialogue further explored the philosophical teachings of ISKCON, particularly the principle of the law of karma, often described as “as you sow, so shall you reap.”
President Gokhool and ISKCON representatives reflected on how such teachings contribute to the development of conscience and consciousness, guiding individuals towards responsible actions and ethical living.
