










The President of the Republic Mauritius, Mr Dharam Gokhool, presented to the President of the Republic of Seychelles, Dr Patrick Herminie, the Award of the Grand Commander of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean (G.C.S.K.), on the advice of the Prime Minister, Dr Navinchandra Ramgoolam, today at the State House in Réduit.
The Award is the highest national accolade of the Mauritian Republic. It was conferred upon President Herminie in a remarkable gesture of long-standing camaraderie and to strengthen the cultural bond and cooperation between the two nations.
The event was followed by a lunch hosted by President Gokhool in honour of the President and the First Lady of the Republic of Seychelles who are the Chief Guests for this year’s National Day Celebrations. A toast was also proposed by the two Presidents.
The Prime Minister, Dr Navinchandra Ramgoolam, the Deputy Prime Minister, Mr Paul Raymond Bérenger, along with several Ministers, dignitaries and eminent personalities were also in attendance.
