Inspiration, Imagination, and Innovation as we launch the 2nd edition of our National Essay Competition and Learn-AI.School Innovation Challenge for 2026!
Following the tremendous success of the first editions last year, we are delighted to bring these initiatives back for students across our Republic, with exciting new features.
Our National Essay Competition will now feature:
- Oral Presentations for secondary and tertiary students, encouraging confident public speaking, originality, and critical thinking.
- Handwritten Submissions for primary students, promoting penmanship and writing culture in a mobile-driven era, with a special prize for the best handwriting.
For the Learn-AI.School Innovation Challenge, Grade 10 and Grade 12 students will engage with 15+1 national AI challenges, covering areas such as:
- Smart Education & Personalized Learning,
- Sustainable Environment & Climate Action,
- Cybersecurity & Digital Safety,
- Traffic Management & Smart Mobility,
- Student Wellbeing & Anti-Bullying,
- Healthcare Access & Early Detection.
Students may also propose their own AI themes, fostering innovation, creativity, and ethical responsibility.
These initiatives reflect our commitment to nurturing creativity, critical thinking, and responsible use of technology among young Mauritians, while celebrating originality, learning, and national pride.
