Every child deserves to feel seen, valued and believed in.
It was a deeply moving tuesday morning at the Open Day of the Anou Grandi Association, where I had the privilege of meeting extraordinary children whose smiles, talents and determination reminded us all that ability is never defined by limitations.
Having welcomed these wonderful children to the State House just days earlier, it was a joy to meet them once again in their own environment. Beyond the official ceremony, I had the pleasure of visiting every classroom, interacting personally with the students, listening to their stories, celebrating their achievements and witnessing first-hand the remarkable work being carried out by the Association.
Their warmth, affection and genuine happiness made this visit truly unforgettable.
I also had the honour of officially inaugurating the Open Day and commended the dedicated management, teachers, staff and parents whose unwavering commitment allows these children to learn, grow and flourish with confidence and dignity.
As President of the Republic, I firmly believe that every child deserves the opportunity to realise his or her full potential. I remain committed to fostering a more inclusive Mauritius where every child is recognised, valued and empowered. The doors of the State House will always remain open to every Mauritian.
Together, let us continue building a society where no child is left behind… As One People, As One Nation.
