Ti Zistwar Zanfan Moris Launch

I officially launched “Ti Zistwar Zanfan Moris” today – an exceptional collection of 82 stories, all written in Mauritian Creole by our children under the age of 12.
This initiative first took shape last year with a young author, Raphaël Cicéron, who believed in his dream and wrote “10 Ti Zistwar Pu Lir Dan Aswar”.
Today, this initiative has grown through a national competition, giving children across the country a platform to express their imagination and their voice.
One of the most powerful aspects of this project is that every single story has been published – an inclusive choice that gives each child recognition and value.
I congratulate all children, and thank their parents, teachers, and pioneers of this project: Institut Français de Maurice, Les Éditions Leko, Institut Cardinal Jean Margéot, and Nelson Mandela Centre for African Culture, for their dedication in encouraging and helping our children realise their potential.
As President of the Republic, I will continue to support all initiatives that empower our youth to express themselves – whether through writing, art, or any other form of creativity.
