World Hindi Day 2026

An honour to address the ongoing International Conference on the Teaching of Hindi: Innovation and Possibilities, organised by the World Hindi Secretariat in the context of World Hindi Day 2026 and bringing together delegates from over ten countries.
Last year, I highlighted that languages which adapt to technology and innovation remain relevant, and that educators must translate ideas -especially in AI and digital literacy -into classroom practice.
I am particularly pleased to see that this year’s conference addresses these very challenges, focusing on innovation and new possibilities in the teaching of Hindi.
I thank and commend the World Hindi Secretariat, the Indian High Commission, and all organisers for their continued commitment to strengthening Hindi as a global language of learning, culture, and dialogue.
In our multicultural and multilingual nation, Hindi continues to contribute meaningfully to unity in diversity, and must be shared with other communities to foster mutual learning and intercultural understanding.
Let us continue to ensure that Hindi remains relevant, inclusive, and meaningful for future generations.
Aap sabhi ko Vishva Hindi Diwas ki hardik shubhkamnayein.
Happy World Hindi Day!
